About Us
Paul Skippen and Marg Grills
bring the experience of having ministered with young people for a number of
years in Catholic schools and parishes throughout Australia.
Paul
and Marg assist schools and parishes with student and staff retreats,
leadership formation, liturgical awareness, staff professional development and
spirituality.
While
being aware of how important the role of faith, liturgy and life is within the
Christian community, Paul and Marg are conscious of the need to offer both
worthwhile and practical programs and resources that will be useful for those
in leadership roles within schools and parishes.
Realising
that in this day and age, people in leadership roles in schools and parishes
have very busy lives, our aim is to enhance their ministry with programs that
will allow them to be nurtured and supported, affording them the time and space
to experience God in their own lives.
They
have a strong belief and understanding that there needs to be a clear vision
for ministry with young people that encourages a fresh and open approach to
living and exploring the Gospel.
Paul
and Marg endeavour to empower God's people to contribute their part to the
Church, to their community, to the whole human family. Ministry to young people
in the Church belongs to all the baptised: we aren't volunteers, we are living
out our baptismal call ... it's our baptismal duty!
John
Paul II invited us to become part of a new evangelisation!
No
one sings alone - we sing together. No one prays alone - we pray together.
No one works alone - we work together. No one serves alone - we serve together.
No one celebrates alone - we celebrate together. No one sacrifices
alone - we sacrifice together.
The
last couple of years has seen the development of online prayer resources that
focus on assembly and staff prayer resources for schools and ‘take home'
reflections for young adults in parishes.
These
prayers, reflections, stories and song suggestions stem from the Sunday gospel
and offer the basis for forging opportunities for prayer that is creative,
youth-friendly, challenging and open to the possibilities of God.
Paul and Marg continue to invite all God's people, especially the young
to celebrate, share and proclaim what it means to be radically Catholic in
today's world.
