Celebrate Often & Celebrate Well
Travelling the journey of prayer, liturgy and ritual with young people.
The privilege of guiding young people on the journey of faith discovery
has been entrusted to you! This program will tap into a variety of
possibilities that have been successfully trialled and tested with
secondary students. You will be given the opportunity to explore
different avenues for the use of prayer, liturgy and ritual in your
school/classroom.
The Basin & The Towel
A
comprehensive inservice for Year 12 student leaders and teachers who
facilitate student leadership. This workshop offers Year 12 student
leaders with a variety of activities and opportunities to foster and
develop their leadership skills. This will be achieved by using
techniques that open up a range of possibilities, and draw on the
gifts, talents and values of the individual, while making use of
effective and productive team work. Leadership is essentially about
relationships. We will centre the workshop of the servant-style
leadership of Jesus found in the gospels.

Celebrating faith, ritual and
storytelling in the primary classroom. This inservice has been designed
to foster an opportunity to develop skills and explore the role of the
spiritual and human journey of young people. We will tap into prayer,
scripture, music, drama, storytelling, enabling the teacher to weave a
tapestry that highlights the patterns and practices of faith
development in the primary classroom. Come prepared to be challenged
and deepen your understanding of the important role you have undertaken
in leading and encouraging the sacred story we share. You will be
equipped with the skills, knowledge and techniques to become an agent
of change in your school community.
This is Your Time: This is Your Place
For Year 10, 11 & 12 students involved in school liturgy teams.
This hands-on, practical inservice has been developed after a number of
years of ministering with young people in schools and parishes in a
number of dioceses and states throughout Australia. There will be ample
opportunity to explore how liturgy and ritual can be strengthened in
your school, and the way in which effective liturgy teams can foster
vibrant, engaging and challenging liturgy. The participants will be
invited to launch into the deep and become an agent of change in your
school community.
